A well established, locally owned and operated business, National Truck Repairs has been servicing the Hunter region, central and mid-north coast since 1999. Based in Newcastle, National Truck Repairs is a young, yet developed and highly successful fleet service business specialised in the recovery and repair of damaged commercial and domestic vehicles, including trucks, trailers, coaches, minibuses, earthmoving equipment and machinery. As a result of that forthcoming attitude, National Truck Repairs has been thriving for more than a decade before it recently decided to expand the current premises in Newcastle to cater to growing demand for a qualified truck repair service in the region. National Central is now conveniently located near the end of the F3 Freeway, New England & Pacific Highways and includes a “drive-through” wheel alignment bay and a BM equipment brake testing facility and play detector. Using a stateof- the-art Truckcam Wheel Alignment System, it can accommodate vehicles up to B-double size. A Road & Maritime Services (RMS) approved heavy and light vehicle inspection station will come soon too.

“We can assist you in lodging claims with your insurer, broker or 3rd party insurance claims, and back this all up with a highly qualified team of tradesman who take meticulous attention to detail.”


“We can now cater to more people at a time in an easy-to-reach location, and we are the only workshop in the Hunter capable of removing the steer axles from the vehicle to carry out alignment corrections on the axle beam,” she says. “We also have access to BM Testing Equipment’s ‘Autoteknik Brake Tester’ with a computer generated report function, which is ideal for fleet management and accountability.” But according to Simone, even the most advanced technology cannot replace the team’s commitment to providing worldclass service.

“We’re still the same team with the same attitude,” she says. “To us, that’s the real point of difference.” For example, the NTI Premium Repairer status and approved PPG Fleetpool Global Paint Service Centre still performs both quality control and road testing in house to ensure the vehicle is in prime condition when it is handed back to the customer, and the National customer assistance and towing services is still available around the clock, Australia wide as well.“Everyone here at National Central is committed to helping our customers in any situation, anywhere and anytime,” says Simone. “Estimators, salvage and towing staff, operation managers, panel beaters, body makers, spray painters, mechanics, auto electricians, detailers and apprentices all live and breath that attitude.
